Meet our Physio Lucy

At InnerStrength we know that our business’ strength is our great and unique employees. Without them we would have no InnerStrength! So we have decided to write a regular feature all about our employees, celebrating their uniqueness.

When Lucy finished her Physiotherapy degree she came to work with us at InnerStrength, she also enrolled directly in a medical degree which she is still studying at The University of Melbourne.  Lucy mainly works at InnerStrength on Saturdays; she is the smiling face that will greet you when you arrive at Pilates over the weekend.  Lucy is a remarkably capable person. She has a wonderful manner which makes everything look and sound easy – she demonstrates exercises beautifully and then when you have a try of them, you notice how strong she really is!

What do you do to stay strong?

I ride my bike to the station each morning, and (of course!) to InnerStrength on a Saturday. I also still do classical ballet and tap dancing classes twice a week, which is great for body and mind.

If you were reincarnated as an ice cream flavour, what would it be and why?

Either a) Italian lemon sorbet as I remember eating it when I was little. It is so refreshing and the best summer flavour or b) salted caramel with choc chips, as I like to think of myself as pleasant to be around, which some surprises too!

Right now….. Judging by how you feel, how old would you be if you didn’t know how old you actually were?

About 23!

What is something you are proud of?

Last year, I referred my 84 year old Italian nonna to hydrotherapy classes for her knee osteoarthritis, and falls prevention. It was the first time she had ever been in a pool! Now she is so confident in the water, and her knees are much better, plus she has not had any falls since.

If you could have a room to hang out in, full of any one thing, but these things could never be removed from the room, what would it be?

Foam rollers and magic circles 🙂

Please call InnerStrength of Bayside on 8555 4099 to make an appointment with Lucy.
